This is the third time I have photographed this family while they visited Tybee. I liked them the moment I met them, the photo sessions always just seem to flow and it is a quiet dance in motion and we just keep talking and photographing and talking some more . It is like photographing old friends that I haven't seen in awhile and it just clicks.
I always enjoy seeing this family, it is like seeing an old friend. They were one of my first weddings 15 or so years ago and I have had many relationships that began at the start of my business come full circle. Babies I photographed graduating high school this year, kids I photographed when they were small now photographing their weddings and babies. It makes me smile to think how far I have come and how much I value these relationships that have been a part of my entire adult professional life.

But slowly through friends through family through faith, I felt slowly more joy and peace. Thank you Savannah Magazine for doing an article on her. I hope it helps other families at the very start of this long road to know their is help, and you will slowly stop crying in front of every stranger imaginable. ( although from time to time something gets me) To celebrate this beautiful life that I was given and the beautiful kids I have. If you get a chance...
11 is such a great age to photograph. It is this funny in between age and such a great time to capture. I had a lovely time tonight, she was great to photograph.

It was all word of mouth because of course no websites, nothing but getting out there and meeting people, and waiting tables and making customers that would always come let me photograph their kids. I remember coming back from San Diego ( I moved their after SCAD very briefly) driving around to people and dropping a note in their mail box saying hey I am back would love to see you again. Sometimes when I think...
