I really enjoy seeing brides that I have photographed after the wedding and seeing their kids and how their lives have changed. We had a magical night and their boys were so cute and funny. The tide was super low so the marsh mud was so fluffy and squishy I think it took me a week to scrub it off. It was all worth it at the end!
Veronburg is as close to Camelot as it comes. I love how this family embraces the craziness of having four kids and two dogs. The chaos to me as a photographer allows me to step back (since it is not my chaos!) and see how beautiful this time is. When I am in it, the daily grind of kids running crazy, school, baths, homework blah blah blah, it gets so routine and easy to get lost in your own routine. I see it from an outsider and the running, barking, laughing, and some crying and think this is wonderful . I could post this whole session I love it so much.
This is the third time I have photographed this family while they visited Tybee. I liked them the moment I met them, the photo sessions always just seem to flow and it is a quiet dance in motion and we just keep talking and photographing and talking some more . It is like photographing old friends that I haven't seen in awhile and it just clicks.
I always enjoy seeing this family, it is like seeing an old friend. They were one of my first weddings 15 or so years ago and I have had many relationships that began at the start of my business come full circle. Babies I photographed graduating high school this year, kids I photographed when they were small now photographing their weddings and babies. It makes me smile to think how far I have come and how much I value these relationships that have been a part of my entire adult professional life.
