Downtown

I love the jasmine that comes out every May it reminds me of this photographer who didn’t start her photography career until she was 48 and this was in the 1800′s. She has always been one of my favorite photographers. This family has some beautiful red heads and a great store downtown 24 E

Family

Photographing to me is both very personal but also you need to  stay a little aware of what is going on around you. It is talking and getting to know peoples lives and also in the back of your mind looking for a photo without being obvious of all the things dancing in your head while you are waiting for that photograph and be able to say holt and get the photograph and go back to the conversation. I love photographing this family, we have for a couple years and even though I see everyone about once a year except the mom I feel extremely close to them. I feel that way about many of the families who have been part of my life and the brief time seems very connecting and personal to me. My clients  have been part of my life beyond just hiring me for photos, they have celebrated our babies lives with me, our joys, our sorrows, sometimes a lost loved one. Photography is so wonderful in so many ways but especially since it took this shy girl from Florida who came up to Savannah not knowing a soul and be a part of a great community of people.

Baby Nino

I love this family. He did all the electric in my studio you can find him here.

12

I loved every bit of how 12 he was. So tall and lanky. Sweet boys and mom told me after that he said he had a really nice time. Had to pat myself on the back that a 12 year old boy actually liked getting his photo taken.

Beans

Since the twins were born I think about that part in the movie Parenthood when the grandma said this

Walls

Love the way these shadow box’s and canvas turned out for this family.

Ford Plantation

I love this wedding. Tricia Huddas and her company did such an incredible job with this wedding at the Ford Plantation. I do not think there are words to describe the couple, the venue, the love of their family, and the weather. I loved Pricilla’s smile and her beautiful face, a dream to photograph. Congrats!

April 30, 2013 - 9:37 am Tricia Huddas Mesaro - Amazing photographs of an amazing spring wedding!

April 30, 2013 - 10:22 am Brian Kearney - I loved the photos. I am so glad many were taken in black and white. The photography here is really beautiful and very special. It is obvious that you were able to do the impossible of being present, but not to such a degree as to make any of the pictures or portraits seem "posed" or "staged". There is a joyful sense of spontanaity in these photographs which make them all the more compelling. Well done! Give yourself a hug. Best, Brian

Here is a little about the artist

CH 1. Tell us a little about the theme of the necklace

HLS 1. This design is from a series I call “Between the Branches”. This series represents

protection of something dear to your heart. The clean and encompassing lines of the

design wrap around the encased photo to give a protective feel to the piece and the

person it adorns.

CH 2. Tell us about yourself as an artist

HLS 2. As a jewelry artist I find constant inspiration resonating from my 2 beautiful

daughters. They have inspired my work to become more meaningful, heartfelt and

symbolic. Themes of motherhood and inner strength are common themes in my work.

CH 3. Tell us about Kobo Gallery

HLS 3. Kobo gallery is a cooperative gallery I started 6 years ago. We have 13 members

and the contemporary work ranges from handcrafted jewelry, photography, encaustics,

watercolor, mixed media, wood sculpture, fiber art and paintings.

Routine and memory

I remember my Grandma used to have a clothes line just like this one in her backyard. Birds would come and drop there feathers on the ground and I remember my Grandma always telling me not to pick those dirty feathers up. When I picture spending time at their house I picture alot of memories there. I passed this place while on our routine of dance class every Monday and Thursday and the light and shadows were awesome. The others I took when I was down in Florida and I just love this white wall that is the back of a  tennis court. Seems timeless to me and I love seeing the lines and the simplistic setting.

Last Light

I couldn’t help but take a photo instead of rushing over to pick him up. It did make me smile, I love this age.
